Alban 2015 Estate Syrah “Patrina”
Vineyards: Alban (Edna Valley AVA)
Winemaker John Alban of Alban Vineyards is all about producing wines that represent the terroir. His entire farming philosophy is founded upon doing the most to maintain all that is special about these vineyard blocks. No where is this more clear than in his 2015 Estate Syrah. John Alban is possibly best known for owning the first American winery designed exclusively for Rhone Varieties. John Single handedly doubled the worlds Viognier on his estate in Edna Valley, using cuttings that he brought back from some friends in the Rhone region of France. John was the founder of Hospice Du Rhone and his farm is sustainable using Sheep, Solar, and sustainable practices.
Field Recordings 2017 Blanc De Franc Sparkling
100% Cabernet Franc
Vineyards: Rancho Maddalena Miguel (Paso Robles AVA)
Hello sparkling wine! Just in time for New Years. This Pet Nat (Pétillant Natural) of Cab Franc is the perfect bottle to POP for the holidays. The creation of this wine was all about timing, with only three weeks from harvest to bottle with no sulfur (Like all good natural wines) and all native yeast. Wine Maker Andrew Jones’ wines are a catalog of single vineyard sites that produces wines with a sense of place and personality. For natural wine lovers, this sparkling wine is everything you could ask for with notes of green strawberry and Asian pear. I’m excited to say, we’ll be toasting the New Year with this bottle!
