Carucci Wines is a small, family-owned and operated winery producing Rhone varietal wines from California’s Central Coast. Completely self-taught as winemakers, the husband and wife team have a knack for finding exceptional vineyards and showcasing their unique character. They rely on impeccable farming and believe that working closely with Mother Nature is the only way to produce truly great wine. With this vintage as evidence who are we to argue.

2014 Carucci Syrah

2014 was the third in a string of excellent vintages. A mild winter, normal to early budbreak and a warm summer lead to an early harvest. The condensed harvest created a hurried pace in the cellar yet again. The wines of 2014 should be fruitful, richly textured, showing balance and concentration. With a profile of: Black Rasberry – Dark Cherry – Leather – Tobacco Leaf – Green Tea – Black Pepper

Scherrer Zinfandel 2013

100% Zinfandel
Vineyard: Scherrer

Winemaker Fred Scherrer is a mainstay in the Sonoma wine community, producing his first vintage of Zinfandel in 1991. Year over year, his Old Vine Zinfandel is one of the best coming out of the region and we’re beyond excited to get our hands on some. The 2013 vintage has the classically intense fruit the varietal is known for. But the flavor is much deeper, and more complex than what the casual Zin drinker may have come to expect.
